Inside La Cotte
Ground Floor
The main area in the ground floor is the oak beamed living room and dining area. The centre piece of the living room is a traditional open fire, for which there is an ample supply of logs always available, should you wish to rent the house during one of the cooler months. The dining area has table and chairs to seat up to six people.
There is a good sized bedroom with a beamed ceiling, which has a double and a single bed. The room has plenty of wardrobe and drawer space.
The kitchen is fully fitted with quality German made units and built in hob, oven and fridge. It is equipped with crockery, cutlery and utensils and virtually anything else you would expect in your own home. The tiled bathroom has quality fittings, including toilet, wash basin and walk-in shower. There is also a plumbed in washing machine, should you need one. First Floor
The first floor is approached by a hand made oak staircase. There is a galleried landing which is set out with desk and lamp to use as a study area. Beyond the exposed oak roof timbers, is a further attic area which has a day-bed to relax on if you don't want to be outside. This area can be screened off, as shown in the gallery photo, to create an additional sleeping area. The day-bed is slightly larger than a standard single bed.
The remainder of the first floor is the master bedroom with a king size bed, which is laid out and furnished in shades of white, to provide relaxed, elegant surroundings.
Outside
Outside, there are two outbuildings which house various equipment, including a portable barbeque, outside table and chairs and two bicycles; all of which are available for use by our guests. Additional bikes can be hired from the local garage, see Travel for more details.
