La Cotte is a meticulously restored and renovated 19th century Solognote
farmhouse, set in 40 acres of tranquil woodland, glades and fields. It provides accommodation for up to six people in two bedrooms and an attic day-bed. The house has been furnished in a style in keeping with the exposed oak beams and the restrained elegance of the cottage.
The renovation has been professionally carried out to an architect's design, which maximises convenience and uses superb quality fittings and equipment. As a result, there are all the comforts of modern living set in the tranquil atmosphere of a period property.
The cottage lies in the heart of the Sologne region, at the eastern end of the Loire valley. It is located just 5 miles from the town of Lamotte-Beuvron, the home of French equestrian excellence and an outdoor swimming lido, which is at junction 3 of the A71 motorway. It is well placed to enjoy the historic splendour of the Loire valley and is just two hours by train from Paris.
La Cotte enjoys a truly rural setting but is only a ten minute walk or five minute cycle ride from the facilities of the village of St Viâtre. This delightful village has all the local conveniences needed for daily living.
